The All-Party Parliamentary Historic Vehicles Group has been a supporter of Bicester Heritage since its foundation and chose it as the starting point for their annual rally to Westminster in 2014.

Twenty MPs, Lords and their guests spent the morning at Bicester Heritage, where they were welcomed by over 150 enthusiasts, and had the opportunity to inspect progress in breathing life back into the UK’s best preserved pre-war Bomber Station.

The APPHVG play a valuable and important role in ensuring our historic vehicles stay in use, a cause very close to our hearts here. They effectively represent in Parliament all historic vehicles owners, and have been pioneering aspects such as the free historic vehicle road fund licence. Sir Greg Knight commented, “The day was not only enjoyable but very worthwhile. A number of MPs have since commented to me on the strategic importance of Bicester Heritage in preserving skills which are important to those who enjoy using our historic vehicles.”

Bicester Heritage Managing Director Dan Geoghegan adds: “To me the fact that this visiting group is ‘All Party’ sums up the way this hobby brings people together, united by a love of classic cars and motoring. We were delighted to welcome them and share our project to not only bring owners and enthusiasts together but also the specialists who make this hobby possible.”
