Saturday 19 July was the last day of the 1000 Mile Trial organised by Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation (HERO). Eighty six competitors took part driving from The Royal Automobile Club at Woodcote Park to Cheltenham, Preston, Edinburgh, Hexham, Leeds, Towcester and back to Woodcote Park.

The last day included two driving tests at Bicester Heritage and a quick coffee stop with our house-speciality chocolate brownies hosted by Historit. Drivers and navigators enjoyed a brief respite from the lashing rain while looking at the Historit collection.

Congratulations to John Abel and Martyn Taylor in their Lagonda LG 45 on their well-deserved win.
