“YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GOING TO FIND. IT’S THE LUCKY DIP OF CAR CULTURE… IF YOU CAN’T FIND A CAR THAT INTERESTS AT A SUNDAY SCRAMBLE THEN I’D BE QUESTIONING IF CARS ARE REALLY YOUR THING.” Jordan Butters, SpeedHunters, 2017
Tickets for today’s Sunday Scramble are now available at the entry gates.
Four years on and the Sunday Scramble is an event of national repute, attracting enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe, offering the opportunity to explore the former RAF Bicester base, the restored wartime buildings and the specialists businesses based here.
Starting with some 100 visitors at the first Scramble in 2014, the event has grown significantly with over 6,000 visitors gathering at Bicester Heritage for the ‘Drive It Day’ Scramble, April 2018.
Having been off limits to the public for the best part of one hundred years in the hands of the RAF and MOD, historic vehicle owners and enthusiasts can now drive through the gates to this once hidden location and spend a Sunday morning freely exploring the Technical Site, specialists businesses based here and bring their own vehicles to add to the diverse display of machinery that makes this event so spectacular.
We are delighted to be hosting the next Cylinder Club meet during October’s Scramble in our Exhibition Hangar. The Dick Lovett Cylinder Club brings together passionate owners and their vehicles for a relaxed morning of cars, coffee and chat. Vehicle access to the Cylinder Club is by invitation only but all Scramble guests will be most welcome to enjoy the display.
You can also join our mailing list so that you’ll be the first to know about the next events at Bicester Heritage.
We are delighted the following Clubs will be present at the event.
If you feel like making a kind donation to this magnificent charity to aid their work in supporting young people with cancer, that would be hugely appreciated by us all.
