Bicester Heritage announces Scramble dates for 2024

Bicester Heritage will host three Scrambles in 2024 as part of a revamped events calendar.

The hugely popular open day events, which give families and car enthusiasts the chance to meet the UK’s finest historic and innovative mobility specialists based at Bicester Heritage, will take place in January, April and October in 2024.

The annual season-starter event, tickets for which are available now, is on Sunday 7 January followed by spring’s Scramble on Sunday 21 April, which once again coincides with Drive-it Day weekend. October’s closing Scramble will be held on Sunday 6 October.

The first Scramble of 2024 will inaugurate the ‘High Smileage Club’ as its central feature display, celebrating cars from across the automotive spectrum that are guaranteed to leave its driver with a smile on their face regardless of the road. Scramblers, the official membership club of Bicester Heritage, has declared its nominee into the club as the Porsche 911 and a Dakar will be its representative on the main display lawn by The Station Armoury.

Themes for April and October’s displays will be announced in due course.

After the launch of Innovation@Scramble at the final event of 2023, each Scramble will once again look to the future of mobility with the award-winning Command Works championing the specialists and other leaders in the field. Residents include Electrogenic, Polestar UK, Zapp Electric Vehicles, Zero Petroleum and The Little Car Company, while Mazda UK will showcase its rotary technology among those at the January event. Lunaz’s Upcycled Electric Vehicle and Toyota’s hydrogen-powered Mirai were among the displays at the previous Innovation@Scramble.

Liz Pilling, associate director of events at Bicester Heritage, said: “The Scramble is an event like no other on the classic car calendar in the UK, and we are immensely proud of that. Its popularity is a testament to the hard work of a small team at Bicester Heritage over the past 10 years, and concentrating on three events ensures we can continue to uphold those high standards in what will be a landmark year for Bicester Motion.

“Bicester Heritage is committed to helping to preserve the classic car sector for future generations, and the Scramble is the perfect platform to do that in 2024 and beyond.”

The Bicester Heritage events calendar will be complemented by Scramblers’ relaxed Assembly meetings in 2024, details of which will be revealed shortly.
