Bicester Heritage Specialists winners at Cherwell Business Awards

Business leaders, companies and charities in the Cherwell district have been honoured at the tenth annual Cherwell Business Awards, which took place at the iconic Bicester Motion on Friday 16th September.

Two Bicester Heritage specialist businesses, amongst those shortlisted, were the winners in their shortlisted categories categories.

Physics X Ltd, in Building 143, was awarded the Overall Cherwell Winner Award 2022, sponsored by Norbar Torque Tools, for its work and research into technological advancements via the highly specialised field of simulation.

The team of scientists and engineers, which is led by former chief scientist of Mercedes F1 and ex-head of research and development at Renault F1 Robin Tuluie, has been developing life-changing solutions with world-leading medical experts. 

Physics X work to solve the most difficult engineering challenges, including the development of computational and machine learning methodology to simulate an artificial heart. This work and the award is in support of Calon Cardio’s effort to develop the UK’s first permanent artificial heart.

The Little Car Company, in Building 142, offers a veritable fleet of mini masterpieces on behalf of Aston Martin, Bugatti and Ferrari, took home the New Business Award.

Each scale-size electric car from The Little Car Company’s Command Works HQ is fully licensed, with intricate details identical to the full-size model, and can reach speeds of up to 50mph.
