Year-long roadworks in place in Bicester
Delays are expected around Banbury Road until February 2025
Major roadworks are currently in place around Bicester and they are expected to cause delays until February 2025.
Improvements are being carried out at the A4095/B4100 roundabout, which connects Bicester to Aynho and Banbury. The adjoining Fringford Road is closed until mid-April, after which the roundabout will be running narrow lanes and traffic lights.
This is expected to impact Scramble attendees, as well as other events at Bicester Heritage, so please leave in good time. Temporary traffic lights in place on the B4100 Banbury Road are expected to be removed by 12 April, though.
Between July and October, including on Scramble weekend, Banbury Road will be closed to traffic. A diversion will be in place.
Though reopened on 15 October, it will close at night from 23-30 January for resurfacing. The works are anticipated to finish by 18 February 2025.
Further details and an interactive map of the works can be found here.
